Lead hardness charts

I'm working on a project, and could use a chart which shows lead hardness (bullets) from the various manufacturers (of hardness testers), side by side. As you know, Lee has their chart. Saeco has their own numbers, and so does LBT. I'm hoping that someone has a chart with all three (or more, if it exists) hardness scales, side by side. Quickly and precisely check hardness of your lead alloy. Exclusive conversion chart tells the maximum operating pressure of any lead alloy. Wooden pencil leads also have a little wax or grease added for extra smoothness. In mechanical pencil leads, this is replaced with oil. The grade, or hardness, of a pencil is due to the proportions of graphite and clay (or polymer/resin). More graphite makes for a softer lead, and more clay makes for harder lead.

Scale deposits are a typical indicator of hard water. Hard water (or water hardness) is a common quality of water which contains dissolved compounds of  30 Dec 2015 Today pencils are numbered to tell us how hard the lead is; the higher the The hardness of the graphite would differ depending on the quality and 2 1/2, 3, 4), but also adopt the English scale for graphic and artist pencils. Graph Gear 500™. $7.09. 7 Nov 2001 The chart also shows the relative hardness that may be expected when alloying various ratios of Tin/Lead by using the following formula. 20 May 2016 The values for nano-indentation hardness of the pencil leads are in the range of 0.3–0.8 GPa. A higher hardness grade in the pencil lead leads  To use an example, one of the hardest substances on earth, diamond, is rated 10 on the Mohs scale, while plastic and pencil lead, for instance, are on the other

(A heavy hand might prefer softer leads, and a light hand may work well with relatively hard lead qualities.) The number and lettering printed on the pencil represents the degree of lead hardness. This indicates how soft or hard the lead is and how dark or light the mark is on the paper. Metal Hardness Chart. The below chart is useful for determining which metals will be impervious to scratching and dinging, as it relates to the Rockwell scale and ductility. The Rockwell scale is a hardness scale based on indentation hardness of a material. A Simple Method oF MEASURING Alloy Hardness . David Berry . This describes a method for the determination of lead alloy hardness. It is a simple, quick, and economical means to test hardness of unknown alloys, and I have found it to be reliable and accurate.
